Details As Polaris Bank New C.E.O Adekunle Sonola Resumes Office, Takes Charge
over 33years of experience under his belt
The new Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director of Polaris Bank, Adekunle Sonola has resumed.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the bank chief with over 33years of experience under his belt took office on Monday, October 24, 2022 .
“And it has been a rollercoaster of activities ever since” SocietyNow.Ng learned.
The information at hand revealed that the bank is bustling with activities aimed at ensuring the new Bank C.E.O and his team hit the ground running.
The new head Polaris Bank headman disclosed that his team will leverage on the foundation provided by the immediate past Board of Directors to lead the Bank into “a new era of sustainable growth” in his first official statement.
Sonola, most recently the Executive Director of Commercial Banking at Union Bank, where he spent some six, years takes the baton as Polaris Bank Chief Executive Officer from Innocent C. Ike with the acquisition of the bridge bank by Strategic Capital Investment Limited (‘SCIL’).
The announcement was last week.
The new C.E.O who served as the pioneer Regional Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank East Africa and the Director of Investment Banking at Standard Bank in South Africa takes charge of Polaris bank with a new board that retains the previous chairman, Alhaji MK Ahmad.
Further digs by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that also retained on the new board is Executive Director Segun Opeke.
Also listed on the new Board of Directors are Abdullahi S Mohammed (Executive Director), Olabisi Olubunmi Odunowo (Non-Executive Director), Francesco Cuzzocrea (Non-Executive Director), Ahmed Almustapha (Non-Executive Director). Adeleke Alex Adedipe (Non-Executive Director), Salma Mohammed (Non-Executive Director), Abubakar Danlami Suleiman (Non-Executive Director).
