Immediate past Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has started his first job – after leaving office.
Osinbajo two-term as Vice President of Nigeria ended on May 29, 2023.
His first major job after leaving office comes in the mold of Chairman of the Commonwealth Observer Group (COG) for the Sierra Leone general elections SocietyNow.Ng learned.
The elections come up on Saturday, June 24, 2023.
According to Osinbajo who is also a former Attorney- General of Lagos the state of the COG is to “assess the pre-election environment, oversee the actual polling day, and monitor the post-election vote counting.”
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria has taken temporary residence in Freetown, Sierra Leone to oversee the tasks SocietyNow.Ng gathered.

The former Vice President has been Sierra Leone for about five days undertaking the tasks.
He leads a team of “11 dedicated experts according to information available to SocietyNow.Ng.
Osinbajo declares the teams tasks as “vital in strengthening the democracy we all cherish” in a social media post.
Though he started the task after he left office, Osinbajo was give the appointment at the tail end of his last term as Vice President of Nigeria (served two terms of 4 years each with President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015-2023).
