Details As Hit Fm’s Calabar Entertainment Conference Returns For 6th Edition

Calabar’s Premiere Urban Radio station, Hit 95.9FM has announced that the sixth edition of the biggest entertainment gathering in the South-South region of Nigeria, the Calabar Entertainment Conference is set to return for its sixth edition, on Friday, the 7th of October, 2022.

The Calabar Entertainment Conference, which is also known as the C.E.C, is an annual entertainment conference that brings together the biggest names and influencers in the entertainment industry, for a pontification on how to perfect the craft of budding entertainers, as well as nurture their talents, for success, in and out of Nigeria.

The Calabar Entertainment Conference, CEC, which had its maiden edition in 2017, had in the past years hosted the likes of Award-winning Veteran Musician, TuBaba; Veteran Disc Jockey, Dj Jimmy Jatt; former General Manager, Sony Music West Africa, Micheal Ugwu; Media Expert, Olisa Adibua; Events Specialist, Edi Lawani; Eccentric TV/Event Host, Denrele Edun; Veteran Actress, Shan George; Veteran Comedian, Ali Baba; Managing director/ CEO of NMO Management Limited, Ngozi Omambala and lots of big names.

Themed “Discover, Define, Rebrand”, the 6th edition of CEC will conversations around discovering and harnessing local talents within the region, why artistes and creatives need to carve a niche for themselves and how professionals in the entertainment industry can stay relevant through consistent brand innovation.

Speaking on the upcoming event, Convener of the Calabar Entertainment Conference and CEO of Hit 95.9FM, Patrick Ugbe said,

“Over the past few years, the Calabar Entertainment Conference has been a hotbed of discussion geared towards the growth of the entertainment industry in Nigeria and a platform for stakeholders within the industry to chart the course for the years ahead. Our 6th time out promises to be richly rewarding and exciting as always. We have speakers and veterans joining from the international community for this edition and we look forward to an exciting engagement.

In 2022, the Calabar Entertainment Conference will feature successful entertainment practitioners, not just across the country, but in the world at large, including; the Convener and Chairman, NEC Live, Ayeni Adekunle as Special Guest, Entertainment Journalists, Joey Akan; Brand Strategist, Dr Tochukwu Macfoy; Veteran Broadcaster, Ryan Verneuille (USA).

Others, who will also feature amongst the panel of discussants include Actor, Efa Iwara; General Manager, Boomplay, Dele Kadiri, Social Media Influencer, Calabar Chic, Popular Tik-Tok Influencer, Celyn Ukam and Comedian, Last Prophet.

Sensational Singer, Raybekah is billed to perform alongside Disc Jockey, Dj Lisa Li (France); Singer, Lorraine Lion-heart (UK), Challex De Boss, Band Legato among others, at CEC 2022, which goes live from the Main Bowl of the Cultural Centre Complex in Calabar, Cross River State, on Friday, the 7th of October, 2022, by 9am (W.A.T), and can be followed LIVE on all Social Media platforms, on @hitfmcalabar.

C.E.C frequents, Olisa Adibua and Edi Lawani are also expected at the Sixth Edition of Hit fm’s flagship event, a one-stop platform that seeks to Discover, Define and Rebrand the entertainment industry in Cross River and beyond.

Hit FM is the premiere private radio station in Calabar, which began operation 6 years ago, with the vision to provide premium lifestyle entertainment within its coverage area.
