Details As All Council Chairmen In Ogun Finally Accept Car Gifts From Abiodun

All the local government chairmen in Ogun state have finally accepted the car gifts offered by Governor Dapo Abiodun.

“We want the general public to know that all Council Chairmen, without exception, have taken possession of their cars” Babatunde Emilola – Gazal, the ALGON Chairman in Ogun stated in a statement that declared support for Abiodun.

The development contains raging controversy over all the local government chairmen’s rejection of car gifts from Abiodun in the thick of the dispute over his re-election.

The rejection was reportedly hinged on claims the car gifts are a pledge that is long in coming coupled with the efforts they put in to help the governor get re-elected.

Abiodun won the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial election with 13,915 votes more than his main challenger, Ladi Adebutu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who has gone to court alleging he was leading by 33,000 votes before orchestrated violence forced the cancelation of votes in areas he is popular.
