Olamilekan Solomon Adeola is the senator representing Lagos West in National Assembly.

He is on his second term in office.

Before he was elected a Senator in 2015, the politician popularly known as Yayi served as a House of Representatives Member from the same political zone – Alimosho Federal constituency.

Before this development Yayi who is a staunch member of the Asiwaju Bola Tinubu political family served as a state legislator for 12years.

He represented the Alimosho state constituency 2 in the Lagos State House of Assembly for 3 terms, 2003 till 2011.

Societynow.ng learned that barely a year into his second term as a Senator from Lagos state; Yayi has started a campaign for a political post in Ogun State.

Insiders disclosed that the politician has launched a campaign for the Senatorial position of Ogun West.

The talks decorating the move are that it is part of his agenda to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in Ogun state.

Yayi represented the interest of Tinubu in the coalition of political forces that helped Abiodun to power.

‘’Part of the negotiation was that Yayi will become a Senator in Ogun state and transform a governor after Abiodun’s spell in office’’ societynow.ng learned.

Yayi had attempted to succeed immediate past governor Ibikunle Abiodun as governor of Ogun state but faced such intense opposition that he beat a retreat to Lagos state.

He couldn’t muster the support that helped Abiodun to power but proved a major helping hand to Abiodun in the defeat of Amosun’s choice as successor in exchange for promise of similar support in ‘’future’’ societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed that Yayi who is one of the golden boys of Tinubu is serving as a willing tool in the spread of the political influence of the powerful politician with his political adventure into Ogun state.
