Crisis rocking Osun State chapter of People’s Democratic Party is far from over, Societynow.ng learned.

As a matter of fact, the in-fighting afflicting the part is still very much on, an insider divulged.

At the center of the squabble is Ademola Adeleke the People’s Democratic Party candidate in the last gubernatorial election in the State and Mutual Benefits Assurance boss, Akin Ogunbiyi.

Interestingly the duo contested Osun State PDP’s gubernatorial ticket – with Adeleke emerging the winner in a manner those in the know have described as controversial.

It took the intervention of party leaders at the national level to pacify Ogunbiyi.

Available information revealed he was promised Osun West PDP senatorial ticket.

But Ogunbiyi never got the ticket. Thanks to Ademola Adeleke’s machination.

Another party man Akogun Lere Oyewunmi eventually emerged the PDP candidate for the senatorial district.

The development did not go well with the Ile-Ogbo born Mutual Benefit Assurance boss – hence the renewed battle rocking the party societynow.ng gathered.

The investigation conducted by Societynow.ng showed Ademola Adeleke is at the moment pushing for the expulsion of Akin Ogunbiyi.

Adeleke is said to have gone as far as reaching out to the top echelon of their party and with reasons why it is dangerous to allow Ogunbiyi to remains in Osun PDP, a source further disclosed.

Societynow.ng gathered Adeleke believes that Ogunbiyi is behind all the challenges he’s facing within the party and wants the Mutual Benefit Insurance boss suspended from the party as payback.

“Adeleke is really pushing for Ogunbiyi to be thrown out of the PDP , he believes the Mutual Benefits insurance man is behind his certificate problems that refuse to go away”, the insider asserted.

A number of their party men were reported to have approached the court of law seeking to disqualify Adeleke on the ground that he does not possess relevant educational credentials to contest the election in the first place.

The development which left a great blot on Adeleke’s image was ‘’settled” before the gubernatorial election, but has now resurfaced after his defeat.
