Demola Adeleke, Iyiola Omisore Set For Major Show Down

Senator Demola Adeleke and Otunba Iyiola Omisore are set for a major show down.

The two People’s Democratic Party chieftains in Osun state want to become the party’s gubernatorial candidate for next year’s governorship election.

Both are quietly lobbying for support of party men to achieve their objective.

“It is just a matter of time before they openly go against each other” a source stated.

“This is not about who is better qualified, the reality is that both of them can’t be party candidate…so a show down is unavoidable if one doesn’t back down for the other” another source analyzed.

Omisore is from the same senatorial district as incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola (Osun East).

Aregbesola is on the last leg of his 8th year of a two term reign as Governor of the state.

Demola Adeleke is from the Senatorial district unspoken political arrangement favors to produce the next governor of Osun state based on rotation (Osun West). And his district has better votes than that of Omisore’s.

But Demola, a neophyte in politics just got elected Senator based on the sentiments of the controversy trailing death of his brother and former occupier of the Osun West Senatorial seat – barely three months ago.
