The recent death recorded at popular fun place and favourite of seaside lovers- Elegushi beach (Lagos) has changed the tide of happenings at the leisure place.

Sources confirmed the ever busy spot appears to be speedily losing it’s allure.

And this is attributed to growing fear of insecurity sparked off by the death of Eniola Abiola, female and described as ‘a 200-level student of the department of dentistry, school of medicine, University of Lagos Akoka’

Information revealed Eniola was swept away- and drowned- by a ‘fierce’ wave that knocked her down around 8p.m.
The life guards that could have rescued her reportedly closed around 5.p.m.

The incident reportedly transpired on Friday April 12 2013.

She was a guest at a birthday sources claimed.

Followers of event disclosed that since the happenstance came to be- different conjectures have trailed it, labelling Elegushi Beach as an ‘unsafe place’

With some even stretching imaginations of security risk to the point of ‘spiritual’ and ‘sacrifices!’

This is against the backdrop of similar occurrences at Lagos beaches in the past.

Digs by societynowng.com revealed that ‘fun lovers are becoming scare and beginning to stay away from Elegushi based on the frightening dimension the different tales are adopting’

And further findings unearthed ‘ this has led to big millions of naira loss for the operators of the place headed by youthful traditional ruler- Saheed Elegushi’

The land the seaside fun place is located is within the domain Oba Elegushi. And those directly in charge are his aides and appointees.

A witness affirmed ‘most times King Elegushi is at place till very late in the night, to enjoy and monitor proceedings himself’

It is not known whether he was at the place or not when the incident that claimed Eniola’s death came to be

Analysed an insider ‘ based on the numbers that thronged the place, it is a big money maker for the oba and his aides- but this latest twist is rapidly changing all that’

And a clear cut course of action to arrest the situation is yet to employed, another source confirmed.
