Dapo Abiodun’s Aide Wale Adedayo Reveals Forest With ‘’Almost All The Big Animals ‘’In Ogun State & How To Turn It Into A Money Spinner
Eniola Adeniyi
Wale Adedayo, one of the media consultants to Governor Dapo Abiodun has revealed the location of where there are ‘’almost all the big animals’’ in Ogun state and how to turn into a major source of revenue for the government.
Adedayo who is a Local Government chairmanship aspirant in Ijebu area of Ogun state posted…
There is hardly a kid among the children of the rich, who’ll not want to visit a zoo and see live animals. It is the same with the well-to-do. They would love to see wild animals in action. Yankari Games Reserve was a fantastic destination for such people in those days.
But many do not know that Ijebu East Local Government hosts almost all the big animals in our J4 Forest Reserve. A quality partnership with the Ogun State Government can give a new meaning to what God has given us here. We can turn things around in J4. Not just about these animals alone. Nature in its real sense – EcoTourism. And, our local economy will be the better for it.
Wait for it! What if we arrange things in such a way that the Ebi Festival at Ikija, which usually draws hundreds of people annually is aligned with that of Ijebu Ife along with Ogun Festival at Iwaya and many others fall along the same route? And, we ensure that people are taken round in buses to these places to enjoy themselves, making sure there is adequate security?
Beer sellers, food vendors, Okada riders, hoteliers and others will smile to the banks. If the media should be arranged to get involved, that will even make things ‘heavier’. We would have put our communities on the world map by attracting more than enough people for the next one.
The demand from us will just be security, as Number One. And, that can NEVER be a problem if the good people of this local government agree we should be in Ogbere. Security is assured. The next is, good roads to where these activities will happen. That cannot be a problem for a local government, whose God-given resources are being used to develop other places. A ba awon Olokuta soro ni ona tiwa, won a da si ise titi wa! We’ll do whatever is necessary too.
Quality Tourism is part of our promise. We’ll support communities, where traditional festivals are taking place. We’ll incorporate such into the calendar such that support for such festivals is always there from the local government. We’ll be part of it, fully. A well-organised traditional festival with adequate support from the local government should boost our local economy.
We’ve done our homework. We know what to do. It is not a question of getting to the office and planning what to do. We’ll deliver!
