‘Creditor’ Assault MTV Networks Executive During Press Briefing!

…Basketmouth anchors new project, The Big Friday Show.

Friday, August 05 2011, M.T.V Networks Africa- the parent company of hugely popular music authority, MTV Base held a media briefing.

The event which showcased the latest offering of the network, The Big Friday Show held at Avenue Suites, Tiamiyu Savage, Victoria Island Lagos.

Minutes into the introduction of guests that include Guy Murray Bruce, representing Silverbird Televison- co partner in the new project-, an angry intruder barged in and charged towards M.T.V Networks Africa Executive, Tim Harwood, shouting ‘where is my money..Tim, pay me my money..you’ve been owing me for over six months now’. A shocking silence filled the hall. Tim, looked shell shocked. The audience were astounded. The M.T.V Base female D.J anchor of the event, Cythia Mbanefo – a.k.a C-Von looked confused. She looked helpless, as the intruder continued his charge towards Tim, her feeble effort at dousing the tension with ‘pls this is a’ was cut short by the aggressor with the increasing tenor and vehemence of his demand. Every other persons stood rooted to their spots in fascinating disblief at the unfolding spectacle. A ruffled looking Tim moved forward to intercept the intruder before more damage was done- he was immediately knocked down flat by the creditor.

The action woke the audience and other partakers in the event from their shocked stupor- and a chaotic response was immediately initiated.

Quickly Comedian Bright Okpocha widely addressed as Basket Mouth joined the frayed and calmed the audience- ‘the whole development was just a glimpse of what MTV Network Africa’s newest programme, The Big Fiday Show has got to offer!’

The reaction of the audience is best imagined.

A candid camera like version of the ‘life drama’ will be aired tonight, Friday August 05 2011 in the pilot edition of The Big Friday Show.

Tim Harwood is actually the producer, Basket Mouth the Anchor of the show and the assaulter later identified as Seun Fadiran, a member of the production crew.

According to a press statement made available by Black Horse Media, representative of MTV Networks Africa, the show will be aired every friday on MTV Networks Africa and Silevrbird Television- STV between 18.00- 19.00 GMT.

The information further revealed that the show, aimed at bringing fun and Nigerian youth culture to Friday night T.V, will feature slots such as, interview with hottest Nigerian celebrities, entertainment news and gossip from the digital sphere in C-Von’s and Bella Naija’s V-Log of the week, a club review highlighting the best places to party and a weekly restaurant challenge where the Lagos’ to chefs create ‘ The Big Friday Show Special ‘ for their menu.

And ofcourse The Big Friday Show pranks- such as witnessed at the press briefing – is not left out of the offering.

Naturally Basket Mouth is expected to bring his stature in comedy- along with all the skills and thrills like never before- to bear on the show.

Music Authority MTV Base is scheduled to feature the best of contemporary music- with special focus on the hottest music videos trending on facebook, Twitter & SMS in the ‘BFS James Countdown’, Up and coming Naija artists will also get a chance to shine, performing only if they successfully complete the studio challenge.

According to the host of the show, Basket Mouth ‘ The Big Friday Show will give you more entertainment that a Super Eagles and Black Stars socker match, more gossipe than a group of women in a hair salon and more videos than Alaba has to offer!’
