There is a growing fear across the country, particularly in States sharing borders in Kano State.
Governor Abdullahi Ganduje is said to have initiated moves to “deport’ beggars from Kano State to their states of origin societynow.ng learned.
Those who fall under this country are individuals who are homeless and survive day to day based on alms from the public.
The Governor in the eye of the storm over the handling of the fight against Covid-19 in his state is said to be making the move in the bid to she’s off ” excess responsibilities’ in the bid to have a firm grip on the situation confronting his administration.
The planned “decoration’ is said to be irrespective of the Covid-19 status of the homeless concerned.
Deportation of ” beggars and homeless ” residents to states of origin is not a new concept in Nigeria – it has been done by Governors in the East and West but this development comes in the face of massive fear over allegation of unattended widespread of Covid-19 in Kano State.
