Council Top Shots To Appear Before Lagos Assembly Over Absentee Chairman Shobowale
They have been summoned
Information available reveals that top shots at the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Government Development Area (LCDA) will appear before the Lagos State House of Assembly this week.
They have been summoned by the committee of the Lagos State legislative body in charge of local government affairs.
The demand for their presence stems from the continuing absence of the Chairman of the LCDA, Bola Shobowale, which stakeholders claim is stalling progress in the area.
Shobowale, who is disclosed to be battling “a medical condition,” has reportedly refused to follow the chain of command necessary for effective operations in her absence, according to details available.
This development has reportedly crippled the administrative structure, with tensions rising over backdoor attempts to hijack the process by self-serving individuals.
Concerned citizens and stakeholders brought the situation to the attention of the Lagos State Assembly via a petition through the office of the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.

The summons by the House Committee handling local government affairs is believed to be part of efforts to interrogate the issue and make a proper intervention to resolve the challenges affecting the progress of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA.
Among those expected to appear before the Lagos House of Assembly committee are the Vice Chairman, Council Manager, and House Leader.
