Folorunsho Oladoyin, the Commissioner for Education in Osun state has revealed why he failed to fulfill a promise he made one year ago.
The commissioner had promised that teachers would be recruited into public schools to boost education in the state a year ago.
He was taken up on not fulfilling the promise when he appeared before the Osun State House of Assembly Appropriation Committee.
Oladoyin who was before the Committee to defend his ministry’s budget for 2022 placed the inability to get new teachers for public schools at the feet of lack of funds.
He made another promise that the names of teachers who passed the recruitment test – already conducted – will be published and mobilized for classrooms by November 2021 according to information monitored by Societynow.ng on Dailypost.ng.
