Information filtering in have it that the site of the collapsed under going construction four storey building ultra modern market being handled by the administration of Governor Ibikunle Amosun is still very much the place to be for shocked gawkers.

Societynowng.com learnt onlookers eve defied the about three rain of yesterday in Abeoukuta to gape at the collapsed structure.

The project initiated by Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun to cater for victims of road expansion and bridge building in state capital of Abeokuta collapsed at it’s Itoku site in the early hours of Friday May 13 2016.

Two deaths and multiple injuries of different degrees were reportedly recorded in the tragic occurence.

He was said to have moved swiftly to site to allay fears and sped up rescue work immediately news of the incident hit town.

People from different parts of town have however continued to troop to the place for a live visual of the tragic development.

Most of the onlookers are said to take snap shots of the collapsed structure with their mobile phones.

”They are capturing the ugly incident for posterity” a source explained.

This development comes in the midst of calls from opposition parties in the state Unity Party and People’s Democratic Party for a probe of the incident and contractors that handled it.

The opposition claimed the process that earned the contractors the project was not ”subjected to competitive bidding”

They want all culprits in the development brought to book.

The Governor of the state is operating on the platform of the party incharge of federal government, All Progressives Congress.
