Ceecon Oil Boss, Chima Anyaso Becomes Youth Ambassador, Clamours For Justice To Be Seen As Done In Aluu 4
Case Ceecon Oil Boss and latest Ambassador for Youths in town, Mr Chima Anyaso has taken up a new cause.
He wants ‘justice to be seen as done’ in the infamous killing of the four university of Port Harcourt students Ugonna Obuzor, 18; Lloyd Toku, 19; Tekena Elkanah, 20, and Chiadika Biringa, 20 on false claims of robbery.
The students were beaten and lynched by villagers of Aluu community of Rivers State, after a debtor raised what is now established a spurious allegation of theft against them.
The beatings and burning was captured on video and circulated about town- before it found it way to the internet on to a world wide audience. Chima Anyaso
Mr Anyaso in a chat with societynowng.com confirmed seeing the video but ‘unable to watch it in full’
He described it as ‘too barbaric’
The upwardly mobile businessman labelled the development ‘ a very serious matter, I am yet to get out of the shock’
‘Those were young men murdered in cold blood just like that..those boys death is worse than Dana crash. They were humiliated, they were beaten, there were battered…they broke their head open..oh my God..it was just too much..this thing is a national embrassment with grave implications’
‘Let us look at the effect for some of us in business amongst other things..you tell your international business partners you are from nigeria with all these things and how will they feel, how will they take you? Especially when you invite them over? This thing happened in Rivers state look at the ripple effect we are looking at..that is why I don’t subscribe to those that chant this is a Rivers state issue. No it is not- this is a national matter’
The visibly upset money man advises that one of the ways to alleviate the personal trauma of the bereaved and national shame is, apart establishing the innocence of the victims, to ensure justice is seen as done.
‘I won’t advocate that the culprits should be killed as they murdered those innocent people- but what I’ll say is that, the law should be allowed to take it’s course’
The low profile but celebrated Nigerian clarified his position ‘ this will boost public confidence in government and law enforcement and also help the parents come to terms with their grief..because I can’t just imagine the pains the parents are going through- because even me that I am not related to them and couldn’t watch the video in full know how I feel, not to talk of the mother that bore the victims for 9months or the father that brought them up that far’
‘ Because outside of this, I don’t think there is anything the government can do to alleviate the pains for the parents…there is nothing, because even if you build a skyscraper for them in America or relocate them over there, it won’t achieve as much as making sure justice is seen as done’ he maintained
In concluding the Ceecon boss stated ‘for parents of the victims, I plead and pray for them, not to forget because that is impossible, but to have a strong heart and strength to bear the loss’
Twenty one suspects have so far been arrested in the case by the police- including the master mind identified as Coxson Lerebori Lucky, also known as, Bright
