Ifeanyi Ubah, the sacked Senator from Anambra South faces added trouble.

There is a growing campaign for the refund of the salaries, allowances and related perks of office he received in his short-lived stay at the National Assembly.

Ubah, who won the election to the National Assembly on the platform of the Young People’s Party was sacked for forging a National Examination Council (NECO) certificate to contest the 2019 election.

The court ordered the certificate of return issued to Ubah by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of the election to be withdrawn and given to the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party who came second.

Since the judgment was delivered questions about what happens to the salary and entitlements and related benefits enjoyed by Ubah who is the Chief Executive Officer at Capital Oil in his eight months ”illegal” stay in the National Assembly have come to the fore.

Many insist that he should be paid to refund the ”eight months salary, entitlements and related benefits” he was not qualified to but enjoyed as a sanction of a sort – and part of the efforts to sanitize the political landscape.

”Ubah should be made to refund all the salary and allowances he received and the action institutionalized to serve as one of the deterrents for others for others” Ayodele, a follower of the situation stated.

Questions are also asked by commenters on how Ubah scaled all the screening processes from his party to the national assembly and became a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a fake school leaving certificate.

Another follower of event Seun Oloketuyi surmised ” Ifeanyi Uba Chairman Capital Oil sacked Friday by the High court for forging his Neco Certificate will go home without being prosecuted after collecting eight months salaries and entitlements.
This must just stop.
Second Question who are the persons who were supposed to be screening Uba.
Chai.

A lot of opinions on and offline on the sack of Ubah as a Senator mirror those of Ayodele and Oloketuyi – agitate for making Ubah refund the salary and allowances he received in his eight months stay in the national assembly and prosecution.

As the comments multiple and agitation gain ground, particularly online many believe there is a strong possibility Ubah may become the politician to be prosecuted to ”illegitimately” getting into office and enjoying what he is not qualified to.
