BUA Group Inks Deal With Bühler To Build 32 Tonnes-Per-Hour Rice Processing Line
to scale up local rice production and processing capacity
BUA Group has signed a strategic agreement with Bühler to build a 32 tonnes-per-hour (TPH) rice processing line, reinforcing its drive to scale up local rice production and processing capacity.
The deal was sealed at BUA Group’s Middle East office in Dubai on December 2, 2025, with Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder and Executive Chairman of BUA Group, and Thomas Ogundiran, Managing Director of Bühler West Africa, signing the agreement.
The collaboration highlights BUA Group’s commitment to expanding its agribusiness operations and supporting Nigeria’s food security agenda.
Bühler, a global leader in food processing technology, will supply the technical expertise and equipment needed to ensure high-efficiency operations.
The new rice processing line is expected to boost domestic production, reduce import dependence, and generate jobs, further positioning BUA Group as a key player in the region’s agricultural value chain.
Both companies described the partnership as a milestone in advancing Nigeria’s agribusiness infrastructure.
The development is on the heels of Monday, December 1 2025, BUA Group’s signing of a partnership agreement with Viteral Integrated Milling Systems to construct a 40 tonnes-per-hour feed mill factory.
