Billionaire Jide Omokore’s Home Town “Isanlu” Groan Under No Electricity For Over A Year

Emerging details have it

Isanlu in Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State is not a name that jumps into your head the first time it is mentioned, but the area which has many villages is the headquarters of this local government and it is the homestead of prominent Nigerians including Oil baron, Jide Omolore and former Minister of Health, Eyitayo Lambo,
It is shocking that despite being homes to these people, the entire Isanlu has been in darkness for over a year-and we have it on good authority that Omokore for example has been visiting the town in recent times and had done nothing!

In actual fact, sources revealed that Omokore was home last month for a family function and when he comes home with his retinue of Jide Omokore

security aides and convoy of exotic cars, the generating set in his house which stands out as one of the most elegant structures around is on 24-7-while everywhere else is pitch dark!

At night in Isanlu, one is amazed when one steps outside. Every where is a sea of black and dead silent-except of course for flicker of light from a few houses and humming of these little generators.

Our reporter revealed that the light situation in Isanlu has been like that for over a year, and it had to do with a problem the area had with the Power Holding Company (PHCN) which had been serving the people bills despite the fact that light had been epileptic. So they decided not to pay any bills at all, and that was when they were cut off completely.

Businesses have become comatose, and hotels in Isanlu, since they run on generators during the day, hardly ever have power over night for guests. The residents are wondering when their prominent sons would come to their rescue.

They told our reporter that Lambo did a lot in terms of healthcare in the area, Omokore gave buses to the Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) which is very prominent in the area, but now they are appealing for more, especially helping them with this electricity problem.
That is not all, they want Senator Dino Melaye who is representing them and the Kog State Government to know that the change they voted for in this area has not changed their light situation.
