…As insiders predict his end

With presidential backing comes inestimable influence and clout, especially for someone already in a position of power – but there is a reversal as well,it all depends on who or those at the other side.

That is the case of Attorney General Abubakar Malami, based on emerging information.

President Muhammadu Buhari has given Malami the power to probe top government officials accused of wrong doings- the official language for corruption- and prosecute any one found wanting.

This directive comes in the midst of, among a litany of allegations, the raging accusation that Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal is corrupt.

He is enmeshed in a mega money contract scam.

And that head of fiery Anti corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Ibrahim Magu has been living in a house paid for by crime.

That is just one of the allegations that made up whole in a report compiled by Department of State Security headed by his foe.

Malami through the Presidential directive officially becomes one the most powerful minister in the current administration.

He now has the power to take on anybody.

But according to a source ”naturally he will become the darling of favour seekers, especially those with huge interests to protect but it also puts a bull’s eye on his back

”The ever green game plan of corruption in this country is to discredit anti corruption agents.

”History is littered with classical examples” a source pointed.

Whether a game plan against the Attorney General in that direction is already on is unclear.

But a source pointed ”I won’t be surprise before the week runs out to see alleged details of the Attorney General’s corrupt past or present”.

Hints available have it at present his fate hangs whether he would become a darling or a target.

Those who should know however insists ”
