‘Don’t be fool, the war is not yet over…just the public battle’ a source divulged referring to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s public declaration that he is not at odds with former governor babtunde Fashola while pointing accusing fingers at opposition party, People’s Democratic Party as breeder of information attempting to cause disaffection.

Asiwaju Tinubu’s disassociation with developments smearing the image of Mr Fashola comes on the heels of sudden disappearance of costs of execution of projects that that questions the integrity of the immediate past state’s chief executive Lagos state.

The lagos state government had featured bewildering costs of projects undertaken under the administration of the former governor on one of its official websites, along with information that revealed a single individual- Tunji Olowolafe- as major beneficiary.

Societynowng.com learnt the exposure of Olowolafe and the contracts the executed changed the tide of the war.

Informants disclosed the two combatants can’t afford to unveil the role of Olowolafe in their tenures as governors of Lagos state without suffering massive political and image bruises.

Sources however divulged the on going political discord has more to do with the future than the past.

With his party firmly in control of the Federal Government, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is said to be keen on reducing the political influence and involvement of Fashola – a wish the latter’s growing influence is working against at the expense of the towering profile of his mentor, party leader Tinubu.
