…over EFCC invitation to senator’s wife, Toyin

Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his party’s national leader – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are engulfed in another round of political fight.

And the immediate cause is listed as invitation issued to Toyin, the wife of the Senate President by anti corruption agency- Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Sources within the camp of the Senate President are pointing accusing fingers at the All Progressives Congress national leader as instigating the move.

Information filtering out attribute the development to fallout of the political clash that saw Senator Saraki outwit Asiwaju Tinubu and the APC leadership to emerge Senate President.

Senator Saraki has emerged Senate President against the wishes of his party by securing support of the members of the opposition party, People’s Democratic Party.

His emergence has created a rift within his party that has greatly dwindled the popularity of Aiwaju Tinubu.

According to the Senate President’s sympathiser’s ‘Asiwaju Tinubu insitigated the invitation from EFCC to publicly embarrass the Senate President…and provide a foothold to leverage on for corruption charges against the Senate President’

Toyin Saraki has an invite to the EFCC Office for Tuesday July 28 2015 to answer on issues bordering on Money Laundering.

She is expected to provide answers to questionable inflow into companies she reportedly has interests in from the coffers of the kwara state government.

Silent allegation is rife that she acted on behalf of her husband the Senate President and investigators are looking for a link.

Giving bite to the accusation that Asiwaju Tinubu has a hand in the invitation of the Senate President’s wife by the anti- graft agency, EFCC – Senator JKN Waku an influential chieftain of the APC with sympathy for the Senate President publicly came out Saturday – July 25 – to accuse the APC national leader as ‘mastermind of the petition that resulted in the invitation’.

Waku according to information monitored on thisdaylive ‘I also discovered from my findings in EFCC that the so called petition against Mrs Saraki was personally given to Lamorde by Tinubu under the guise that he was submitting the petition on behalf of the APC leadership to punish Saraki for working against the party’s leadership on the choice of National Assembly leaders.’

The APC Chieftain who equally doubles as Vice Chairman of Arewa Consultative Forum painted a picture of closeness for mutual gain between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Lamorde.

He was however silent on the veracity or not of the allegations contained in the petition the EFCC is acting on.

Findings by societynowng.com revealed that as Mrs Saraki prepares to honour the anti graft agency’s invitations – plans are afoot by handlers of Senator Saraki to contain the situation.
