Aregbesola Says He Is Not Meeting Tinubu
as part of alliances and realignment of political forces
Former Governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola, has shut down claims of a meeting with President Bola Tinubu.
The former Governor, in a statement signed by his spokesperson, declared the talks as “false” while stressing that “there is no truth” to the assertions.
“We wish to categorically state that this is false and there is no truth to it, absolutely,” Aregbesola’s media adviser, Sola Fasure, stated emphatically.

He clarified that Aregbesola, who is also the immediate past Minister of Interior, is currently in Abuja—far away from Paris, France, where President Tinubu is on a working visit.
“The report is entirely false and unfounded and should therefore be totally disregarded,” Fasure insisted in the statement released on April 15, 2025.
Aregbesola’s team issued the statement in the face of growing claims that the former Governor—who is estranged from the President—is currently in France holding a meeting with Tinubu as part of alliances and realignment of political forces ahead of the 2027 election.
