APC Hausa Community Requests More Non-Indigenes In Ondo Govt, Backs Aiyedatiwa To Remain Gov

Governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa is at the heart of an intensive campaign to retain his seat.

As part of the efforts to become the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the September 21, 2024, Ondo state gubernatorial election Aiyedatiwa met with representatives of different ethnic groups including the APC Hausa community.

According to a press statement issued by Ebenezer Adeneran, the Chief Press Secretary to Aiyedatiwa, “the Chairman APC Hausa community in Ondo state, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaibu, echoed their collective support for the Governor, highlighting the community’s prayers for the governor to lead the State beyond 2025.

Shuaibu, who emphasized the need for greater participation in the state’s affairs by non-indigenes, articulated the community’s desire to align with Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy for the coming election.”

The statement quoted Shuaibu as declaring “We hereby express our readiness to actively contribute to Aiyedatiwa’s campaign and administration. We affirm our commitment to leveraging our extensive network and influence both within and outside Ondo State for the success of Mr. Governor.”
