‘Obajana Cement Plc, a subsidiary of Dangote Cement, issues ultimatum to workers, resume work ……or be sacked’
Sources claimed the directive came from Billionaire owner of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
Informants claim to idea is to prevent diminish production limit.
Dangote is listed as the biggest producer of cement in the country.
The Obajana Cement has a combined production capacity of 4.4 million metric tonnes per annum (mtpa)
It is feared that the national strike against fuel subsidy will make nonsense of the ploy to achieve this- hence the directive from the money man that workers shun national call or risk their means of livelihood.
According to those behind the circulation of the directive- the order is expected to be carried out on two major premise, the Cement factory is located in an out of the way site in Kogi state. And, it provides a 328 unit housing complex for non-local staff.
‘The bulk of the key staffers are resident, and the majority of the dispensables are off site’ a source explained.
However spokes person for Dangote Group, Esan Sunday speaking with societynowng.com maintains ‘ A blatant lie. Nothing like that at all. I have been home sleeping since morning.
