Another Drama In Mega Money Corruption Case As Maina Collapses In Court

Adulrasheed Maina, the chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Force Team added another drama to his ongoing prosecution for mega money fraud.

Maina who jumped bail and was re-arrested outside the shores of Nigeria collapsed today, his second appearance after his extradition last week, during court session in Abuja.

Societynow.ng learned that the seating which was scheduled to hear Maina’s no case submission was barely on course when the defendant collapsed.

Sources disclosed that defence lawyer Anayo Adibe was briefing the trial judge, Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court that his team was yet some vital documents pertaining the trial from the court’s registry when Maina’s sudden collapsed was noticed.

Prison officials immediately rushed to his aid.

This court last week, after Maina was extradited back to the country after his arrest in Niger Republic, ruled that he will remain in prison custody till the end of his trial.
