AN24.net Former Reporter Detained By Police Released

The Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, has on Wednesday night released on bail Daniel Ojukwu, a former reporter of AN24.NET, who was detained over a story about a pastor who allegedly made attempts to lure teenage girls into illicit relationships.

Daniel was released on health ground but he was asked to report with a surety at the SCID on Thursay morning.

AN24.NET earlier reported that the pastor in question, Chima Enukoha of the Freedom Covenant City Church (FCCC) in Surulere, petitioned the police to arrest the reporter alongside one of the ladies who made the allegations against Enukoha.

The story titled “Behold Pastor Who Allegedly Enjoys Luring Teenage Girls Into Illicit Relationship” was published on February 14, 2020.”

Daniel reported that he attempted to speak with Pastor Enukoha who rebuffed him and asked him to go ahead and publish the story.

He was accused of conspiracy and threat to public peace, among other allegations.
