Niger State Governor, Farmer Mohammed Umaru Bago was among eminent personalities that cut across party, religion, and ethnic divides that attended the funeral service of the Mother of Former Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, late Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur.

The funeral service took place at the Church of Christ in Nigeria (COCIN) Gwarangah Bogoro, Bauchi State.

The Farmer Governor acknowledged that late Mama lived a great and fulfilled life explaining that the calibre of people that attended the funeral is a testament that she was a good woman and a mother to all.

While extended his heartfelt condolences to the former Speaker and his family members, over their loss, the Farmer Governor prayed to God to comfort them all and repose the soul of the deceased.

Dignitaries at the funeral service include serving and former Governors, National Assembly Members, and religious and traditional leaders.

They took turns to pay tributes and eulogies to the late Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukur.

In his remarks, the Former Speaker, Yakubu Dogara on behalf of his immediate and extended family, appreciated all those who shared in their moment of grief and prayed that God would bless them.

He used the opportunity to call on all patriotic Nigerians to contribute their quota in finding solutions to the economic and

security challenges confronting the nation pointing out that the task of nation-building is a collective one regardless of party or religious affiliation.

Late Mama Saratu Yakubu Tukura died at the age of 103 Years and survived by six children among whom is the Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
