She is Kemi Adeosun, the Finance Minister.

She is now being touted as the preferred candidate of outgoing governor Ibikunle Amosun.

Talks about town have it Amosun wants to make history by installing the first Female Governor in Nigeria – amongst other reasons thrown into the mix.

Adeosun, a former commissioner for finance in Ogun state became a minister on the wings of the influence and clout of Amosun.

Checks revealed she also became a commissioner thanks to the incumbent governor of Ogun state.

The two are said to enjoy an “unusual level of closeness” and degree of “fine understanding” that make many believe, should Adeosun be interested in becoming the next governor – Amosun’s support is a “given”.

Sources disclose it is this widely held perception that is making many to buy into the talks and promoting it with repetitions about town.

“It is no more talks, it has become a campaign of sort” a source disclosed.

And naturally, this is giving other loyalists of the governor interested in succeeding him sleepless nights.

The “jury” is however still out on how Amosun and Adeosun reached the baffling level of rapport attributed to them.
