…Intense political fight turns ugly war

Information filtering in have it Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose currently faces a two prong political fight that has turned ugly personal war within his party, the People’s Democratic Party.

And at the other side are listed his once upon a time very close allies Ali Modu Sherrif and Senator Kashamu Buruji.

The duo are said to have initiated concerted efforts to gun down whatever political influence and personal credibility the Governor of Ekiti state has. Ali Modu Sheriff

And the plot is said to be already afoot.

The game plan sources confirmed is to work on and behind the scene and leverage the myriads controversies of Governor Fayose into type casting him into the mould of a social and political ”pariah” within and outside his party.

Governor Fayose’s offence is said to be the last minute 360 degrees turn around from friend to foe that rallied opposition against the emergence of Sherrif as National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party.

In losing the bid, the 2016 presidential ambition of Ali Modu Sherrif appears in jeopardy while Kashamu’s continuous relevance as power broker operating as Southwest leader of the party with absolute control on the structure of his Ogun state base is given as gone with the winds.

The political future of both Kashamu and Sherrif hangs in the balance as a result of Fayose’s action.

Societynowng.com learnt what really embittered the duo is passionate usage of inside information secured as a member of their inner caucus to work against they by Governor Fayose.

”They now feel hugely betrayed and taken for dim wit…for a man of their stature that was a big blow..and that was what turned it personal, he secured their confidence to do them in” a source analysed.

Added digs revealed this development as now made Fayose a prime target of their angst.

And they have started moving against.

Ali Modu Sherrif as launched the campaign openly with assertion Gov Fayose is only valuable for his alleged nuisance value and not fit to occupy any serious position.

”This is in line with their plot, you know with his grassroot approach of serving Amala and eating at local joints opinions are already divided against Gov Fayose in and out of his state, with the some going as far as labelling him an electoral mistake?..that is the opening Sherrif and Kashamu are exploiting” another source provides insight.

Sources claim though immediately after he succeeded working against their interest at the National Convetion, Gov Fayose attempted a compromise on the pretext all he did was the good of all and the party, it was rebuffed by the duo who snubbed his calls and emissaries.

But whether he would continue seeking compromise in face of emerging plot against him remains unclear.
