We were honoured to receive the former First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Dame Patience Jonathan, during her recent visit.
Her Excellency expressed her admiration for the government’s achievements in infrastructure development, noting that our administration was starting well. She also commended the government for successfully cleaning up the state and acknowledged that there is a breath of fresh air in the state.
With ties to Abia State through her maternal roots, Mrs. Jonathan expressed a deep connection and described the state as her home. She assured our administration of her full support and offered to share valuable governance experiences whenever needed.
We extend our heartfelt thanks for her visit and kind words and pray for the well-being of Her Excellency, her family, and her husband. The honourable member representing Ikwuano-Umuahia Federal Constituency, Hon. Obi Aguocha, and some members of the State Executive Council were also present to receive the former First Lady.
