Betty, the wife of the Governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu has suspended “all activities lined up” to celebrate her 70th birthday.
Betty Anyanwu- Akeredolu will clock 70 on July 20, 2023 SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
She announced the suspension of the planned celebration on Sunday, July 9, 2023, with a post with header “announcement” that reads ..
“Hello Family and Friends.
This is to inform you that all activities lined up to mark my 70th birthday are hereby suspended till further notice due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control.
“Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this development. Nevertheless, be assured that I will be celebrated in style upon my return. Thank you for your understanding.
I remain Arabinrin a.k.a Ada Owere I.”
The development comes amid stiff opposition to the 70th birthday celebration in the face of the health status of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in some quarters SocietyNow.Ng learned.
Akeredolu is abroad undergoing treatment for a health situation that intermittently sparks rumors of death- debunked as unfounded.
The Governor in a his last public message to the friends, associates and people of Ondo state on July 6, 2023 disclosed he remains on the path to recovery and declared “I eagerly await the moment when I will stand among you once again”.
