Wednesday November 5 2014, Prophet T.B Joshua of the Synagogue Church of Nations confirmed his underground moves in public.

He refused to appear before the probe panel seeking to understand circumstances that surrounded the collapse of his church’s undergoing construction 6 storey building- and the attendant high death toll.

And members of the panel officially known as the Coroner Inquest headed by Justice Oyetade Komolafe were miffed.

According to information sourced by societynowng.com from Punch, the panel’s head reacting to claims by the church lawyer Olalekan Ojo that the Prophet did not appear because he is yet to be served summons stated ‘“When next the man is there, I don’t want to hear stories, you have to take him there. When is he going to preach in your church? I will ask the DPO at Ikotun to lay a siege on your church. Tell your prophet we are not prosecuting him,”

The church lawyer amongst other assertions had claimed that despite the attendant publicity that trailed the Wednesday 5 invitation, Monday November 3 was the first time bailiff attempted to effect service of summons of Prophet Joshua ‘but unfortunately he wasn’t around’

He explained to the panel that as chief mourner the influential church head ‘had been getting in touch with families of those who lost their loved ones.”

And stated further that he doesn’t think the contractor invited along with the Synagogue headman has been served as well because ‘ the court does not have his address’

Responding to the manouvre to excuse Prophet T.B Joshua’s absence, Justice Oyetade stated ‘I have done the needful, but a word is enough for the wise. Personally, the court would not want to inflict more pains on the prophet, being the chief mourner, but he too should help the court by not putting himself at variance with the law.”

And according to information on Punch ‘he charged the chief security officer of the church to ensure that the bailiff was taken to Joshua’s office the next time he visited the church.’

But with the dimension spotlight on the matter is taking insiders confirmed an option of soft landing, if he appears is being considered.

According to a deep source in his camp ‘ the Prophet sees the environment as volatile and against him…like some people are all out to get him, he is just taking measures to protect himself’

Insiders further revealed the main assurance Prophet Joshua is seeking is for his lawyer to entertain all inquiries, if he shows up at all.
