The Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has confirmed the arrival of Nigerian artistes, Omah Lay and Tems in Nigeria.

The duo were arrested after their performance at the Big Brunch, which was held at Speke Resort, Wavamunno Rd, Kampala, Uganda based on the charges for flouting COVID-19 rules.

They appeared in court on Monday where they were remanded in prison until Wednesday.

However, the Federal Government was able to secure their release on Tuesday.

Dabiri-Erewa in a post on her official Twitter page expressed her appreciation to the Nigerian mission in Uganda for securing their release.

She tweeted, “Stanley Omah Didia (@Omah_Lay), Temilade Openiyi (@temsbaby), Muyiwa Ayoniyi and others just landed at the MMIA Lagos from Uganda via Ethiopia Airline at about 12:35 pm local time.

We are glad they are finally home. All is well that ends well. Gratitude to Min@GeoffreyOnyeama, our mission in Uganda and the @GovUganda for a quick resolution.”
