After the damning chance defeat to Demola Adeleke in the intense Osun West Senatorial election – Governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola appears set to lose another major political battle.

The chance to determine his successor is rapidly slipping out of his hand insiders disclose.

Societynow gathered the Osun governor is facing a rapidly snowballing out of his grasp opposition from influential young turks in his party- the All Progressives Congress.

The Young individuals are clamoring for a chance to make one of their own the next governor of Osun state.

Their choice is grounded personality within the APC beyond the shores of Osun state – Kunle Rasheed Adegoke.

K-Radical as he is popularly called is one of the topmost legal warriors of the All Progressives Congress.

“He is owed favours by the powers that be within and outside the APC” a source disclosed.

Insiders disclosed K-Rad, the founder of growing movement in Osun state, Tiwantiwa L’osun has gone far and broad and penetrated nooks and crannies Aregbesola dare not thread with his ambition.

He is said to have secured strong bonding with key political and economic players – including traditional rulers ahead the Osun 2018 gubernatorial election.

According to a source, “K-Rad and his backers are carrying on as if they had already secured the APC Gubernatorial ticket.”

Societynow gathered that this is the kind of confidence being paraded by the aspirant and his backers in face of Aregbesola’s interest to install a successor of his choice.

Insiders disclose Aregbesola is uncomfortable with K- Rad as his successor, but is facing a political manoeuvre that is backing him into a winner take all by the day.

Accused of abandoning local politicians who worked for his reelection for “imported” task doers, the Governor is doused with a situation where all those against him within his party have virtually lined up behind the rising star.

And the numbers piling against him are said to be more than many.
