ACAMB, CIBN To Boost Economy With Annual National Banking Industry, Organized Private Sector Conference

The Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACAMB) is set to boost the nation’s economy by fostering the perfect synergy between the banking industry and the organized private sector(OPS).
The banking industry corporate communication and reputation management group is taking this giant step through a “National Stakeholders Conference on Synergy Between the Nigeria Banking Industry and the Organized Private Sector” in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
The objective of the stakeholders’ conference is to bring players on both sides together to correct misconceptions, provide clarity on issues of mutual interests, and fashion out the best ways to foster enabling partnerships that will impact the economy.
“The main focus is to bring together the two main sectors for the benefit of the economy.” Doctor Seye Awojobi, the CIBN registrar stated at a media engagement on the conference on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Banker’s House in Lagos.
“The Conference would bring together the best players on both sides to act as a Think Tank for the nation’s macro-economic growth. The organized private sector is a valued stakeholder of the banking industry. Both the banking industry and the organized private sector play major roles in growing the economy. the need for the two sectors to work closely cannot be overemphasized..an excellent mutual relationship between the banking industry and the organized private sector will promote the desired sustainable growth and development of the national economy” Rasheed Bolarinwa, the President of ACAMB stated on Tuesday.

The first edition of the initiative conceived by the current leadership of ACAMB is scheduled for Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the conference hall of the Bankers House, Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos state.
Godwin Emefiele, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria is the Keynote speaker, and listed as special guests of honor are Ken Opara the CIBN President, Ide John Chinyelu Udeagbala the NACCIMA President and Mansur Ahmed the President of MAN.
While CIBN is the Charted Institue of Bankers of Nigeria, NACCIMA is the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture while MAN is the manufacturers association of Nigeria.
Players in the organized private sector across cadres and members of these economic driver associations are penciled to attend the first “National Stakeholders Conference on Synergy Between the Nigeria Banking Industry and the Organized Private Sector” on August 3, 2022.
On the part of the banking industry, ACAMB is mobilizing stakeholders across boards with Chief Executives of Banks topping the list of those that will be in attendance.
