Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun has made a post on what Democracy stands for.

He also touched on the role of President Bola Tinubu in the post that reads…

The significance of June 12 in Nigerian democracy is profound and holds a special place in the Nation’s history.

June 12 commemorates the date of the presidential election held in 1993, which is widely considered one of the most pivotal moments in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

The commemoration of June 12 serves as a reminder of the importance of upholding the principles of democracy, safeguarding electoral integrity, promoting good governance, and respecting the will of the people.

It stands as a testament to the resilience and determination of the Nigerian people in their pursuit of a democratic Nation that guarantees freedom, justice, and equal opportunities for all.

As a nation, we will always appreciate our very own Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola for his stand and sacrifice in making good governance a reality in Nigeria.

We are especially glad that to further bring this nation to a place of guaranteed freedom, our newly sworn in President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu – GCFR, has taken and will continue to take steps to ensure good governance, equity, and better standard of living for the citizens.

As one of those who made huge personal and political sacrifices, President Bola Tinubu’s role in and past contributions towards entrenching modern democracy in our dear Nation are noteworthy and deserving of appreciation.
