Governor Dapo Abiodun has put smiles on the faces of council chairmen across Ogun State ahead of the state’s 50th anniversary celebration.

According to the sources, each council chairman reportedly received about ₦40 million to drive community-based activities, as well as ₦300 million each for special projects in their respective local government areas.
The funding is said to be part of a comprehensive effort by the Abiodun administration to ensure that all parts of Ogun State benefit from the week-long 50th anniversary celebration.
The main event was staged in the state capital, Abeokuta, with Governor Abiodun, members of his cabinet, and prominent leaders from across the country in attendance.
Notable dignitaries included former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka, who actively participated in the celebrations.
