Abdul Samad Rabiu Donates N2.5B To Arewa Consultative Forum Endowment Fund
launch coincided with the ACF’s 25th‑anniversary celebrations
BUA Group chairman and founder of ASR Africa Initiative, Abdul Samad Rabiu, served as Chief Launcher of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) Endowment Fund on Friday at the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Conference Hall.
He donated N2.5billion to the cause.
Fellow billionaire, Aliko Dangote pledged the same amount – bringing the total contribution – between them to ₦5 billion.
The launch coincided with the ACF’s 25th‑anniversary celebrations, drawing northern political, traditional, and business leaders to Kaduna for a series of discussions on regional development.
The endowment fund aims to support education, entrepreneurship, and broader socio-economic growth in northern communities.

The BUA Group Chairman highlighted the importance of leveraging private sector resources to drive sustainable development.
Checks revealed that the business leader’s donation to the ACF Fund complements the philanthropic work of ASR Africa Initiative, which operates with an annual commitment of USD 100 million to health, education, and social-development projects across Nigeria and Africa.
The fund is part of a broader push by the ACF to mobilize resources for the north’s growth, signaling a growing role for private-sector-led initiatives in complementing government efforts in education, health, and human-capital development.
