Tinubu Hale And Hearty, Returns This Week For Independence Anniversary — Presidency Assures

President Bola Tinubu is hale and hearty and will return to Nigeria this week to mark the country’s 66th Independence Anniversary, the Presidency has assured.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu had been on a working vacation and remained engaged with official duties while away.

“President is hale and hearty. He has been on a working vacation, which he is perfectly entitled to,” Onanuga said.

And, added “In this digital age, he does not need to be physically present in Abuja to do the work for which he was elected in 2023.”

He said the President had continued working during the vacation, including meetings with investors in France and facilitating a $7 billion deep-sea port project in Ogun Waterside.

Onanuga also noted that Tinubu had delegated Nigeria’s representation at the United Nations General Assembly to Vice President Kashim Shettima.

He said the President was expected back in Nigeria this week to participate in the Independence Anniversary activities, including the commemoration of the country’s 66th year of independence.
