“Call To Greater Responsibility And Harder Work” – Gov Eno Speaks On Unprecedented Emergence As APC Guber Candidate

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has appreciated members of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) and the State as a whole for the confidence reposed in him as sole aspirant and now candidate of the APC in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking at a Special Worship and Thanksgiving Session in Uyo, in Celebration of his son – in-law, Edidiog Ufot who was recently promoted to Airline Captain, he noted that the gesture was not only an unprecedented vote of confidence and political victory, but a call to greater responsibility and harder work in service to the State.

Governor Eno pledged to continue serving Akwa Ibom with dedication and sincerity, stressing that his commitment to the development of the state remains unwavering.

He acknowledged that several communities still require critical infrastructure and other interventions, assuring residents that his administration was reviewing its development blueprint, the ARISE Agenda to strengthen delivery and address identified gaps.

The Governor also appreciated the citizenry for the support given to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Primaries, noting that the President was fulfilling promises made to him, including the Ibom Deep Seaport.

He noted that the recent listing of the Ibom Deep Seaport by the Federal Government has renewed investor confidence, with some investors who previously withdrew reindicating interest in the project.

Governor Eno called on the citizenry to continuously support President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda, stressing that the State stands to benefit more.

On the 2027 general elections, Governor Eno urged candidates of the different political parties to focus on practical solutions for State development, maintain decorum, ensure issue-based campaigns, avoid name – calling and campaigns of calumny.

He appreciated everyone who joined him to the event to honour Captain Edidiong whom he described as a son, and prayed that God will continue to preserve him and grant him the grace to keep flying higher.

Earlier in his remarks, Captain Ufot appreciated Governor Eno for his encouragement and support over the years, which according to him has translated to his current status.
