3yrs Later, Nurse Accused Of Giving Late Senator Isiaka Adeleke “Serubawon” Drug Overdose Walks Free

Alfred Aderibigbe, the nurse accused of administering the drug overdose that allegedly resulted in the death of Senator Isiaka Adeleke is officially free from such an accusation.

A High Court sitting in Osogbo has discharged and acquitted him of the one count murder charge preferred against information monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonline.net revealed.

Aderibigbe who reportedly treated the deceased for about twenty years was first arraigned in the High Court on 8th June 2018 and he pleaded not guilty.

Two years after his prosecution started and several testimonies in between, the High Court discharged and acquitted Aderibigbe on Thursday.

The court premised the ruling on the fact that “the prosecution counsel failed to prove his case beyond a reasonable doubt” the information monitored by societynow.ng on thenationonline.net revealed.

The late Isiaka Adeleke better known as Serubawon (Fearsome one) died on April 23, 2017.

He was neck-deep in a plot to become the governor of Osun State at the time of his death.

Adeleke’s death resulted in the advent of his younger brother Demola Adeleke better known as Dancing Senator in the politics of Osun State.

Demola inherited his elder’s brother senatorial seat riding on the sentiments surrounding the latter’s death but frittered the goodwill that came with it away based on his conduct, especially dancing without decorum – and the backlash of his certificate scandal.
