The Nigeria nightmare Kamaru Usman lost the belt of the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on Sunday morning.

He was dealt a shocking but sensational knockout by Leon Edwards in the dying minutes of the fight the Nigeria Nightmare was all set to win.

With the result of the fight continuing to generate increasing discussion, the former champion has allowed a major inroad into the state of his mind.

He provided insights with two of the posts he made on social media after the defeat.

“These things happen” and “see you soon” , – with the latter used as a tag – from the posts tell hint of immediate resolve to reclaim his glory with a rematch.

Sunday’s defeat that resulted in the posts was the second suffered by the 35year old in his career.

The Nigerian nightmare’s first defeat was by submission.
