1,163 FRSC Officers Get Promotion
marking a significant milestone
The Federal Government has approved the promotion of 1,163 Officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), marking a significant milestone in strengthening the Corps’ human resource capacity towards a speedy realisation of safer roads in Nigeria.
The approval, conveyed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Distinguished Senator George Akume CON, reflects the Federal Government’s continued commitment to recognising hard work, professionalism, and dedication to service.
The breakdown of the promotion includes: 128 Chief Route Commanders promoted to Assistant Corps Commanders (ACC), 395 Superintendent Route Commanders to Chief Route Commanders (CRC), 310 Route Commanders to Superintendent Route Commanders (SRC), while 91 Deputy Route Commanders got elevated to Route Commanders (RC), and 239 Assistant Route Commanders now Deputy Route Commanders (DRC).
In his remarks, the SGF commended the officers for their exemplary service and dedication to national development. He stated that the Federal Government remains committed to building strong institutions by rewarding excellence, integrity, and commitment to duty. According to him, the promotion exercise is a proof of the confidence reposed in the Corps and its personnel to continue delivering on their mandate of ensuring safety on the nation’s roads. He urged all promoted officers to see this elevation as a call to higher responsibility and rededicate themselves to the service of our great nation.
Reacting to the development, the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, applauded the Federal Government for its support and recognition of the Corps’ efforts. He emphasised that the promotion exercise is in line with his policy focus on career progression, staff motivation, and organisational excellence.
while expressing profound gratitude to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Presidency for this approval,he emphasized that this gesture will not only boost morale of Staff , but also inspire them to greater dedication to duty.
He charged the newly promoted officers, to uphold the highest standards of discipline, integrity, and professionalism.
