At the very top of one of the biggest banks in Nigeria, is a Veterinary Surgeon who flipped the script of his career to resonate with the saying that no matter the starting point, dreams are achievable – with focus.

Here are ten things that tell his inspiring story.

1 – He is 52yrs Old

11 – He was born in Oyo State

111 – He had his primary, secondary education in Ibadan, Oyo state.

IV -He was admitted to the University of Ibadan in 1986 to study Veterinary Medicine and qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 1992.

V – He qualified as a chartered accountant in 2000 and is now a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Vi – He started his career in 1994 at Afribank and left after 18months of intensive learning for career-boosting spells at Arthur Andersen Nigeria and KPMG.

Vii, He got his Master’s in Business Administration at the Cranfield School of Management in 2005.

Vii – He was a Senior Vice-President (General Manager) and Chief Financial Officer for Citibank Nigeria Limited where he played a key role during the reconsolidation period (He was there between 2007 and 2007).

Viii – He was the leader of the team that earned Africa Finance Corporation – which he joined in 2007 and left in 2014 – the rating of the second-highest-rated lending financial institution in Africa.

IX – He was appointed an Executive Director/Group Chief Financial Officer of FirstBank in July 2014.

X – On Monday, January 4, 2016, Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan became the Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, and its commercial banking subsidiaries (FBN UK, FBN Ghana, FBN DRC, FBN Guinea, FBN Gambia, FBN Mortgages, and First Pension Custodian Limited).
