And his happiness is said to have roots in the travails of Senator representing his constituency – Peter Nwaboshi.

Nwaboshi is currently in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Emerging details have it that the Senator seeking re election has been in detention for “days” in connection with an ongoing investigation over allegations of massive corruption.

And there lays Nwoko’s joy – and by extension his supporters.

The former House of Representatives member is seeking to take over the Delta North senatorial seat from embattled Nwaboshi.

The duo has been engaged in an intense campaign over who gets the People’s Democratic Party ticket in the coming election.

And Nwaboshi with his arrest – in connection with a corruption case – just handed Nwoko and his crew a campaign boost.

Sources claim Ned and his people are heartily making campaign issues out of Nwaboshi’s predicament – insisting the development is a shame and a huge disgrace to the man and the constituency.

And of course, that Nwoko is the perfect alternative to provide “good representation” to take away the “disgrace” of Nwaboshi’s term.
