Why Aregbesola Can’t “Win” Senatorial Election In Osun State!

It will be a Herculean task for Governor Rauf Aregbesola to win a Senatorial election in Osun state.

And this is based on pure mathematics taking consideration figures stacked against him sources claim.

Ogbeni, as he loves to be called, is from Ife/ Ijesha senatorial district (formally known as Osun East).

The district is made of three federal constituencies.

And two are firmly in the palm of opposition party, People’s Democratic Party.

They are Ife and Oriade/ Obokun Federal Constituencies.

Only Ilesha Federal constituency is controlled by All Progressives Congress.

Though the current Senator representing Osun East – Jide Omoworare – is a member of the Aregbesola’s APC the jury is still out on the streets on how the PDP failed to corner the seat.

Osun East is a well-known stronghold of the PDP, with Oluwole Oke – federal House of Representatives member representing Oriade/ Obokun leading the charge.

Checks revealed emboldened by the victory of it’s candidate – Demola Adeleke – as Senator Representing Osun West, the PDP in Osun state has initiated a massive launch back to retake power on all fronts.

And one of the major battle fronts is Governor Aregbesola’s senatorial district – Osun East.

Sources disclose the PDP has great conviction that the place would be “a walk in the park” based on it’s strong popularity in the area, attested to with it’s control of two out of the three federal constituencies in the area.

Insiders further revealed already a massive campaign to achieve this objective is already on.

Leveraging on perception issues afflicting Ogeni and his APC, sources disclose the PDP and it’s promoters are currently engaged in an aggressive popularity drive those on the streets claim is earning desired results by the day.

”based on unravelling scenerio…the governor winning a senatorial election in his district would be a major battle” an insider stated categorically.
