News from Oyo state has it that Governor Abiola Ajimobi is seriously contemplating a major move.

He wants to take away the House of Representatives slot of Dapo, the son of former governor Lamidi Adeshina.

Dapo who is the inheritor of his father’s political structure is the face of Ibadan South East/ North East federal constituency at the Federal House of Representatives.

Insiders disclosed Ajimobi wants to deny him re-election opportunity, as well as chance to secure any other political post on the platform of the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress based on issues of alleged loyalty.

The outgoing governor of Oyo state is said to have been convinced that Dapo is working against his political interest.

“Whether this is true or not is beside the point, that is the agenda Ajimobi was sold and he has latched onto it and acting based on it” a source stated.

Insiders disclosed the dummy sold is that Dapo has the ambition to become the governor of Oyo state and he has started positioning self to actualize the dream.

The snag is that the “political positioning” attributed to Dapo is at crossroads with the agenda of Governor Ajimobi, Societynow learned.

This development drums up past attempts by Ajimobi to neutralize the Lam Adeshina political structure by denying Dapo political patronage – before the intervention of other stakeholders earned the former governor’s son his current position.
