Uneasy Silence As Outgoing Gov Amosun Continues With Demolition Of Properties, Embarks On Last Minute Appointments

The outgoing governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun is unrelenting in his demolition of properties in Ogun state.
Amosun is forcefully making the properties to give way for new projects as his administration comes to an end.
Two-terms serving Amosun hands over reins of government to new Governor Dapo Abiodun on May 29.
And operating under the umbrella of promise to put all earmarked projects in place before he bows out of office, sources claim Amosun is continuing with the unpopular action of demolition of properties to ‘’lay foundation ‘’ for new projects.
The governor just initiated the construction of a new Lafenwa market amongst other new initiatives that would naturally end up ‘’just started’’ by May 29 societynow.ng learned.
Amosun has also embarked on last-minute appointments of into major positions including that of 16 permanent secretaries.
Societynow.ng learned this development is enveloped by uneasy silence in Ogun state, especially as the Governor is widely known as intensely at odds with the man about to take over the reins of government from him.
The uneasy silence has to do with the inability to gauge the incoming governor’s possible reaction to Amosun’s last minute actions.
Amosun in a futile effort intensely worked against the emergence of Abiodun as Governor-Elect in Ogun state.
Though there is a general air of uneasy silence around the outgoing governor’s actions in Ogun state, the murmur here and there refuse to go away.
Societynow.ng learned that there are silent talks that the governor’s actions have root in need justify major expenditure in the state’s account, as well as refusing to back down in raging animosity against the incoming governor.
