“Trillion-Dollar Dream Meets Culture”, Uzodimma Hails Imo @50 Quiz Winners

As Imo State pursues an ambitious vision of economic transformation, Governor Hope Uzodimma has reaffirmed that growth will not come at the expense of culture, history and collective identity.
Uzodimma said the journey toward prosperity must be anchored on values and sustainability, stressing: “As we build the Imo State enterprise toward a trillion-dollar economy, we remain firmly committed to sustainability and the preservation of our State’s dignity.”
He spoke while reflecting on the Imo @50 Quiz Competition, which he described as a thoughtful intervention aimed at safeguarding the state’s history while inspiring younger generations.
According to the governor, the competition was more than a contest for prizes, as it became a platform for demonstrating knowledge, pride and emotional connection to Imo State.
“Through the Imo @50 Quiz Competition, the history of Imo State was thoughtfully preserved,” Uzodimma said, commending participants whose involvement, he noted, “went beyond the pursuit of victory to reflect knowledge, pride, and genuine love for our dear State.”
The governor congratulated the top performers, praising their intellectual depth and sense of responsibility.
“I congratulate Metu Emmanuel Okwuchukwu, winner of the grand prize, alongside Ebubenna Clinton Amamefule and Oguledo Chiedozie Patrickcoleman as first and second runners-up, respectively,” he stated.
Uzodimma noted that their success represents more than personal achievement, describing it as a message to the wider youth population.
“Their achievements send a clear message to younger generations on cultural sustainability, heritage retention, and responsible leadership for the future of Imo State,” he stressed.
He added that initiatives such as the Imo @50 Quiz Competition reflect his administration’s broader development philosophy—one that balances economic ambition with the preservation of history, identity and values, as Imo State positions itself for a prosperous and dignified future.
