Toyo Idris, Partners Hit Town With ‘Cook It’ Reality TV Show
2819 Limited run by Toyo Idris has partnered with Wavecrest college, a Monotechnic offering education and training in the field of hospitality and tourism; and Funke Koleosho, the author of Contemporary Nigerian Cuisine (which is a purely Nigerian cookbook of Nigerian dishes) and the CEO of a UK based food manufacturing company which produces a range of cooking sauces to package an arresting concept.
Tagged “Cook It” ,the TV reality show which is a brain child of Toyo Idris will kick off in the first quater of 2013.
Kunle Afolayan’s led Golden Effects services Limited is billed to handle the production of the show.
The cooking reality television show which will run for 13 weeks of competing, will have the winner go home with a band new car, N1.5 million naira and the title ‘cook IT Chef’.
Consolation prizes to first and second runners up of N1m and N.5m respectively
And , branded products and cash gifts to participants and viewers- including
culinary courses
According to Idris “the competition will be designed around local themes which will be pre-determined by the producers. this simply implies that there will be a main ingredient in which the contestants will be made to create their meal(s) around and be judged on.
The show is reportedly endorsed by NAFDAC.
